(Sarasota, FL) Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art gallery presents “Small is Beautiful,” November 3-December 29. The exhibit, which features works by Lynn Davison, Dolores Coe, Amer Kobaslija, Leslie Lerner, Bruce Marsh, Craig Rubadoux and others, is curated by Mark Ormond. The opening reception is Friday, November 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The gallery is at 1288 N. Palm Ave., Sarasota. For more information about this exhibit, call 941-366-2454 or visit www.allyngallup.com.

“Most of the artists in this exhibit are known for their large-scale works,” says Sheila Moore, owner of Allyn Gallup Contemporary Art. “Larger works can be very studied and controlled; when an artist works on a smaller scale, artists often feel freer to loosen up and exhibit a more painterly and gestural approach. Showcasing their smaller, more intimate work allows viewers a new perspective on the same artist.”
